This post is going to be about the ashtanga class I attended
last Saturday, but first I have to send out a plea: I am having
serious trouble with the pierced holes in my ears, which I got when
I was 11 or 12. If I don’t wear earrings for several months, when I
start again, the lobes have a terrible burning sensation after the
earrings have been in for a couple of hours. If I remove the
earrings it goes away. When I was working in DC I just left the
earrings in and dealt with it, because not wearing accessories or
makeup at that kind of job was unacceptable, and after a few months
the feeling went away and it was no problem. I did the same thing
when I started wearing earrings at this job, and have been wearing
them regularly for over a year now. In the last couple of weeks,
though, the burning has begun again, and while it’s not painful per
se, it is extremely distracting and bothersome. I’ve tried wearing
